De Montfort University are currently looking for work placement opportunities for their MSc Intercultural Business Communications students for 2016.

The students are all recent graduates, or experienced professionals, who are currently studying at Masters Level, developing specialist knowledge and skills for working within a global business environment. In addition to their studies, the students would like to undertake a 10-day consultancy-style work placement within a UK-based company.

During a work placement, a student would get to know your company, and apply their expertise to a project of your choice. For example, you may want to ask them to evaluate the effectiveness of your current intercultural business communications (e.g. the suitability of your website, marketing materials or working practices within a global or multicultural environment), or you could ask them to explore future intercultural business opportunities. At the end of their placement, the student should be able to offer recommendations for improving or developing your intercultural communication practices.
In addition to their academic expertise, most of the students on this course are international, and therefore will often be able to provide specific expertise relating to their own country, language and culture.

In the past, students have been placed in a range of small, medium and large companies within the East Midlands, including: Changan UK, Romax Technology Ltd, Dynex Semiconductor Ltd, East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, A D Themis and Partners, Sheridan and Co, and Base Formula.
