Energy efficiency consulting for SMEs

Young SMEs can sign up for the Carbon Trust‘s START2ACT one-to-one energy efficiency consulting.

This will include three on-site visits to your business over the course of a year. The visits enable a Carbon Trust expert to work with you to identify and implement energy saving measures over time.

These measures will be primarily low cost and no cost. The visits will be scheduled at regular intervals, so that the Carbon Trust expert can review your progress and give businesses the opportunity to ask questions and suggest new measures.

Energy efficiency mentoring

Startups can register for mentoring sessions to discuss how to increase energy efficiency in all areas of business development.

Topics may include:

  • ‘Greening’ products and services,
  • Setting sustainable procurement policies
  • Choosing an energy efficient premises

Improving your environmental credentials can increase your customer base, as well as helping you to grow sustainably.

Interactive energy saving platform

From mid 2017, an open-access interactive online platform will be launched with a variety of energy efficiency resources for SMEs and startups. The platform will include a website with energy efficiency advice, an eLearning course and an energy saving competition.
