Reaching Communities provides funding between £10,000 – £500,000 for voluntary and community groups.

The funding will enable you to use your local knowledge, strengths and resources. The most important thing is that you tell the fund about your ideas to make positive changes in your community.

Priority:

The fund particularly wants to hear about projects that support:

  • lasting and sustainable changes to places and spaces
  • communities to develop happier and stronger relationships with each other
  • taking action to focus on the root causes of social problems to tackle them at the earliest possible stage.

The fund has used feedback, comments and opinions to make way the funding is run simpler, more flexible and responsive to local needs.

Who can apply?

If you are a voluntary or community group such as a charity, co-operative, social enterprise or community interest company, a not for profit company limited by guarantee or statutory organisation such as a local authority or school then you apply for this funding. When setting up your management committee please make sure it has a least three unrelated members.

Partnerships are also welcome to apply as long as they are led by a voluntary, community  or social enterprise organisation. However, the programme is unable to fund individuals or sole traders, profit making groups or those not established in the UK.
