The Small Grants Scheme is part of the Business Growth Programme delivered by New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (New Anglia LEP) in partnership with Nwes, Menta, Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and Suffolk County Council and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The Small Grants Scheme provides direct grant funding to local Micro, Small and Medium sized businesses to support one or more of the following activites:

  • Growth and expansion of the business;
  • Introduction of a product or service that is new to the business;
  • A measurable improvement in productivity;
  • A measurable improvement in efficiency;
  • Creation of jobs.

The Small Grant Scheme offers grants between £1,000 and £25,000. This can be used towards both capital and revenue expenditure within projects.

The grant can pay up to 20% of the total costs of your plans and some areas in Norfolk and Suffolk may be eligible for a 30% contribution.

This means the minimum project size is £5,000 and there is no maximum project size.

To Note

The scheme is available to businesses based within Norfolk or Suffolk only. If your business lies within another area within the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough geography, you may be eligible for Signpost to Grant funding. Further information can be found here.

Businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk that fall within the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough geography can also apply for the Signpost 2 Grant scheme.
