Investors in the Environment (iiE) is a not for profit environmental accreditation scheme. It is designed to help businesses, small or large, save money and the environment by improving their energy efficiency and reducing their environmental impact.

They provide all the help, support, promotion and networking you need to make your business greener and ensure you get recognition for your green initiatives.

iiE was initially launched by Peterborough Environment City Trust, not only to help local businesses by reducing their environmental impact, through implementing an environmental management system, but to also get the extra support to ensure that you are on track and to promote your green initiatives.

HOW TO GET ACCREDITED

There are 3 accreditation levels to iiE that your organisation can work towards. This means there is something appropriate for any business wishing to go green, from taking the first simple steps to understanding environmental factors, to being a truly sustainable business.
The iiE accreditation scheme proves the business has implemented an environmental management plan to reduce its environmental impact. The step-by-step approach within each accreditation level allows your business to set achievable targets and establish a pathway of continual improvement.

The three levels to choose from are:
Bronze from £199 +VAT annually
Silver from £249 +VAT annually
Green from £349 +VAT annually

An overview of the criteria can be found here.

To find out which level of accreditation would suit you and what you need to do to achieve it, further details can be found on the iie website here.
