The Cambridge Mathematics Tripos is known for excellent theoretical training in Mathematics, which the Faculty supplements with the CMP scheme.

Young mathematicians are encouraged to spend time (up to 8 weeks) working in an external setting (University departments, labs, or industry) in order to gain experience in innovative mathematical research and learn how this can impact other disciplines and society at large; companies can and will be able to interact with bright young Cambridge-trained mathematicians and potentially establish new collaborations.
