The Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has recruited their first ever apprentice to help support their new business signposting service - Signpost 2 Grow.
Danielle’s main role will be to provide support to the team, as well as learning about all elements of administration with in the LEP, including the basics of event management and marketing.
Signpost 2 Grow is the LEP’s new business support service which helps local businesses find the advice, support and funding they need to grow. One way they can help is by connecting them to funding towards hiring their own apprentice.
The AGE 16 – 24 grant, is a government funded scheme designed to help employers hire an apprentice with grants of up to £1,500.
Neil Darwin, Chief Executive of the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Enterprise Partnership (LEP), commented:
“Apprenticeships are a key focus for this Government and for our LEP. They provide individuals with the skills they need to start their career, whilst gaining hands-on experience during a real-life working role.”
“I wish Danielle all the best in her new position at the LEP, and look forward to seeing her gain the skills she needs to begin her career.”
The LEP’s new apprentice, Danielle Spence-Smith, added:
“I am really excited to be working at the LEP and am looking forward to starting my apprenticeship so I can put the theory I learn into practice within an organisation.”
