This presentation will explain how to access the free support TWI is able to provide in Metal Additive Manufacturing, bringing AM to life through an insight into the technology supported by the case studies.

Often referred to as metal 3D printing – AM enables a part to be built up layer-by-layer controlled by a computer model; it offers production benefits in flexibility, cost cutting, shorter lead times and reduction in material and production waste. It permits transition from design to manufacture without intermediate steps.

Hear about some of the tools and approached developed at the Institute of Manufacturing to  help small and medium-sized businesses realise their ambitions – including tools for prioritisation, business strategy, business model innovation and more.
