The Carbon Trust has launched the new Horizon 2020 funded START2ACT consulting programme to provide energy efficiency advice to young SMEs and startups*.
START2ACT is an energy efficiency support programme for young SMEs and startups, funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme. The programme can help your business to identify and implement low cost energy saving measures, to save money on your energy bills and reduce your environmental impact.
START2ACT has also been designed to improve how you manage energy now and in the future, so that you can lay the groundwork for long term sustainable growth.
Businesses taking part in START2ACT will receive three visits from a Carbon Trust expert over the course of a year, including:
The format of these visits will be flexible to allow you to ask questions and solve any problems that you face when implementing energy saving projects.
If you are interested in taking part but your business does not have a fixed site or premises, you can receive remote advice from a Carbon Trust expert over the phone. This could include advice on green marketing, greening products and services and minimising the footprint of your business as it grows, as well as answering any specific questions that you may have.
If you would like to benefit from this free support, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or register your interest here. Visit the Carbon Trust website to read more about START2ACT and other support programmes.
*Young SMEs and startups are defined as businesses that have been operating for under five years. Exceptions can be made in some cases, if you have any questions about your eligibility please contact email@example.com.
