This event will focus on plastic electronics and the part that FlexEnable is playing in pioneering this rapidly changing technology. Their unique technology allows electronics to be manufactured on flexible film, the thickness of a sheet of paper, which has applications in automotive, consumer electronics and healthcare.
FlexEnable has pioneered the world’s first flexible electronics technology platform that allows electronics technology platform that allows electronics made to be manufactured on flexible plastic film, the thickness of a sheet of paper. Compatible with existing manufacturing lines, it is the key to truly flexible and cost effective electronics over large and small surfaces. The core applications of this technology are glass-free, flexible displays and sensors that enable game-changing products across a variety of industries including consumer electronics, automotive, digital signage, wearables, medical and security.
Mike Banach, Technical Director of FlexEnable will talk about the new developments and applications of FlexEnable’s technology.
Mike leads FlexEnable’s technical team, overseeing R&D aspects as well as defining the company’s technology strategy and roadmap. He also drives the company’s technical innovation programmes, focussed on working with external partners to enhance the performance and application of plastic electronics.
Mike has contributed to the company’s technology breakthroughs with organic transistors, including OLED and LCD displays and digital circuit applications. Prior to the launch of FlexEnable, Mike was Senior Research Manager at Plastic Logic. He previously worked for the USAF Research Labs in Dayton, Ohio.
