The CLA is holding an event on Friday 18 March at the Arkenstall Centre, Haddenham, Cambridgeshire, to help you better understand and access various rural funding streams.

Millions of pounds of Government money has been made available to invest in farm innovation, fund diversification projects, or help attract tourists to your area.

This event, sponsored by Thornhill Estates, will examine available funding streams, including the LEADER programme, how they meet local needs, and how to write a successful application.

Speakers include: Robin Healey, Area Lead, East of England, Rural Payments Agency (RPA); Kieran Carr, Programme Manager for Cambridgeshire Fens LEADER; and Michael Barnes, Head of European Programmes for Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Local Enterprise Partnership.

The event will be chaired by Edmund Thornhill, Chair of the CLA’s Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Branch Committee, with the CLA’s Rural Adviser Katy Anderson also in attendance.
