The Water Innovation Network are proud to bring you a unique opportunity to find out as much as you can about bioresources at Anglian Water and a chance to present your innovative solution to the decision markers of the 1st March.

Ofwat have thrown down the gauntlet to water and sewerage companies (WaSC’s) to get the best value from bioresources (also know as sludge), by introducing the Bioresource Markets.

Anglian Water’s approach to this challenge from Ofwat is to further explore the options of utilising the sludge within the catchment to help the company become Carbon Neutral by 2050. The existing treatment of bioresources is anaerobic digestions  where biogas is produced from the sludge and this is used in engines to generate renewable electricity and a conversion of 1.1 MWhr/tonne dry solids is achieved, but this could be improved.

This event is  your chance  to collaborate with Anglian Water to improve the anaerobic digestion methods  and processes to produce more energy, and to make further suggestions on how to get the best return from sludge.
