The Agri-Food Success event will specially focus on the grant funding and business support of rural and agricultural organisations across Fenland.
- The Eastern Agri-tech Initiative which offers grants worth £10,000 – £150,000 to support product development and agricultural productivity, as well as grants for research, development and prototyping worth between £10,000 – £60,000 to businesses in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Rutland, North Hertfordshire, Uttlesford, South Holland, South Kesteven, Norfolk or Suffolk.
- The LEADER programme in Fenland has a £1.45 million grant funding pot that local businesses, farmers, land managers and communities can get small grants from to create jobs and business growth through the Cambridgeshire Fens LEADER Local Action Group (LAG).
- The Country Land and Business Association (CLA) will also discuss how landowners and agricultural companies could improve profitability by using their land for different purposes and business ventures.
The Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, James Palmer, will also be giving a short talk to attendees about his work in Fenland.
Attendees will be able discuss any professional or business challenges and opportunities with representatives from Fenland District Council during informal networking before and after the talks.
