Appearing at an Employment Tribunal can be a daunting proposition for any employer. This event promises to be an informative, enjoyable, myth-busting and interactive day for all delegates.  In the morning session it will give you the opportunity in a safe environment to see how a Tribunal works, and to see how decisions are made.

Last year there were over 186,300 claims to Employment Tribunal.  According to the Gibbons Review of Dispute Resolution the estimated cost to employers associated with defending an Employment Tribunal claim is currently in the region of £9,000.  That was in 2007 and does not include time lost by managers preparing for and attending the Tribunal hearing itself.

The workshop is suitable for anyone with staff management or representative responsibilities, particularly those involved in disciplinary matters, including HR specialists, line managers, owner managers, TU officials and lay representatives and those involved in representing staff at formal hearings.
