The first ever 3D Printing Week comes to East Anglia where The Knowledge Transfer Network are inviting manufacturing, engineering and design companies to dip their toe in the water and learn about 3D printing and how it might be useful for your business.

No prior knowledge or experience of Additive Manufacturing (AM) is necessary. As well as an informative presentation from a leading expert, you will hear from local businesses who are successfully using AM to grow their business.

Plus you’ll find out what support, facilities and funding are available to help develop your ideas.

The event will end with a live demonstration of 3D printing in action, where you can ask questions and explore the opportunities.

This is also a great chance to network with industry peers.

About the speaker:

The speaker for this event is Professor Phill Dickens, University of Nottingham.

Phill is an award-winning researcher at the University of Nottingham, where he specialises in processes and materials specific to Additive Manufacturing.

He was the first academic worldwide to investigate multi-pass welding to make 3D metal shapes. He was also the first to show the technical feasibility of injection moulding into stereolithography tool cavities and this is often used by companies to make prototype tooling.
